O Moon

O Moon
Man has sung praises to your beauty
From times now forgotten
We marvelled at your face

O Moon
Of the many names
Who has been made symbol of divinity
And inspired dreams of eternity

O Moon
Mistress of the tides
Master of cycles
Keeper of secrets told to you by children

O Moon
Lovely and serene
Whose visage serves many
Artemis, Selene, and Hekate

O Moon
Worthy of our wonder
For you remind of so much
In man’s dreams and hopes

O Moon
Let us rejoice in you
Let us wonder at your beauty
Let us never forget the stories you inspire
